This is Jason and Agnieszka's corner of the internet. We'll keep people updated with our travels, culinary adventures, and general mischief that we tend to get ourselves into.

Spices & Life

We went out to dinner last night. This is the third time in over two months that we have eaten out. The food here is generally horrible. Obviously the Mexican is generally great, but how many burrito's can one man take?

Anyways, we went to a Thai place out in the boonies of suburbia with an ex-coworker buddy of Aga's. Was called "Spice". Nice sized portions, and some real flavor and heat. Two things usually lacking from most American Thai restuarants. I'd eat there again. Take-out only however, as the service was horrible. We got overcharged for some rice, never got several items, etc. etc. etc.

Other then that, things here are really not that exciting. LAW SCHOOL is hard work. All of the first years are intimidated and neurotic about the whole process. I can understand, but it starts to wear on you.

The actual work isn't particularly complicated, there is just a lot of it. Working at law firms for so long, I can honestly tell you that being a good lawyer isn't necessarily how smart you are. It's the ability to write and speak clearly. That pretty much sums up the whole ball game. This isn't rocket science.

Blegh, no one wants to read about this mularkey. The last thing this world needs is two more lawyers, yet alone a student talking about the trials and tribulations on becoming one.

I've been bodyboarding everyweekend. Usually in the mornings. It's excellent excercise. I wish I could get out there more often. I occaisionally go to the school gym, but not enough.

Aga is weathering the storm just as I am. She still does the occaisional booking.

We've been cooking less. This is another reason for a lack of updates on the blogosphere. We're starting to plan some visits over Winter break. New Years might have a whole mess of people over, so that'll be fun. Christmas in Chicago. Thanksgiving in Boston. I'm just looking forward to some sleep and an utter lack of any obligations. Speaking of which, I need to go read about "proximate cause". Can you believe that we haven't even crossed into Mexico yet? Ugh. World travelers my arse.

Yipes, cross that place off the list when we get out there in 2006. Being able to write and speak clearly is one of the more valuable skills in business, for what its worth?

(Nice and toasty in the wet suit?)
