This is Jason and Agnieszka's corner of the internet. We'll keep people updated with our travels, culinary adventures, and general mischief that we tend to get ourselves into.

Ciabatta from scratch

Still haven't started work yet. I've been trying to use this time to my advantage. Lots of cooking, lots of studying, lots of cleaning around the house, but I am ready to start already.

Here's some flavor to underscore my situation.

Today I;

Dropped Aga off at school
Scrubbed pots
Baked bread
Got dinner ready
Hung laundry
Re-read my reading for the week
Worked on my crim law outline
Filled out yet MORE security forms for work
Browsed the net
Vacumned (sp?) and tidied up apartment
Posted to the blog

I hope reading this list is as boring as it is intended. Dull dull dull. I'm trying to be as productive as possible, but this is getting old real quick. You can only study/ bake/ clean so much.

I'm going to campus to study some more before class. Posted by Picasa

Law Humor

Voluntary manslaughter is like a gin and tonic, but with a mere dash of gin.

First degree murder is like an extra dry gin martini served very very cold.

My new Favorite Celtic

Some quotes from the immortal Delonte West;

On role models;

”Bugs Bunny is the smoothest dude I ever met. You know, he be chillin’, like it just be a normal day and he– it be cold just like how it is in Boston and he just want to dive in the ground, pop up, and he be like, ‘oh man, this ain’t Albuquerque.’ That’s got to be the tightest life, you just hop underneath the ground and go! No traffic, no Mass Pike, no tolls, no lights, no taking Yankees hats off– just underneath the ground…BAM…carrots…Albuquerque. It might seem crazy to you, but it’s just a different way of expressing myself. I think it’s kind of freaky.”

On winning the brass ring;

“But more important than becoming an All-Star, I want to win a championship ring. The day I get that ring, I am going to hang it on a shoelace and tie it around my neck. Then I’m going to get a pair of the sunglasses that Dwayne Wayne wore in the show “A Different World” and visit ever state in the country on a moped wearing nothing but the ring, those sunglasses and a pair of Chuck Taylors with the inscription “What Would Jesus Do?” written on the sides. I’m serious! ”

On love;

"‘Yeah, I can wine and dine you, but I’m a little rough around the edges and I’m keeping it real with you. I can be romantic, but this is real, we’re going to eat some chicken tonight. Chicken and biscuits.’”

On his "game";

”My game is not speed. My game is finesse…and sexy…and chocolate…and all that good stuff.”

Status Update

Not much news to report. No news is good news I guess. Grades were fine, still room for improvement. Peg was in town, lots of fun. Drove around LA for untold hours. Living in LA would be tolerable, but I could never call it a home. Aga and I had only one fight re driving directions. I do all of the driving in this relationship, but navigating is a constant struggle. To put it bluntly, I get easily flustered.

I'm taking Property, Crim Law and my writing class. Agnieszka is taking twice as many classes, hence she never updates. I haven't started the new job yet, which is nice/frustrating.
